About Me
I hope to share nourishment from our Arkansas family farm with your family through my handcrafted skincare products.
My love for skincare was sparked in my mother’s kitchen and the woods near my childhood home. As a child, I made mud face masks—later, they became coffee scrubs, homemade salves, and chapsticks. My mother gave me the freedom to explore, and her ingredients were never spared by my curious hands.
That curiosity for naturally made products stayed with me. By the time I met my husband, I had already learned to craft many skincare essentials. Life is more beautiful when you live in the present moment, and for years, I would look across our pasture and think, I wish I could bottle this beautiful place up and share it with others. That intention led me to growing a garden, learning to make fire cider, and embracing a more sustainable and nourishing way of life.
In 2021, I received my 200-hour yoga teacher certification from The Circle Yoga Shala in Jasper, AR. During my training, I fell in love with the Shala’s ghee recipe, and soon after, I made my first batch of tallow using that same process. Since then, my journey with tallow has deepened, and I’ve learned so much along the way.
By 2023, I officially launched American Farm Wife, selling at farmers markets and pop-ups. I not only shared my passion for tallow but also listened to my customers’ skincare needs. Many of those early supporters are still with me today, and I am deeply grateful for their trust as I continue to grow and refine my craft.
I take pride in dry-rendering all of my tallow—a method that is far less common but produces a superior product. Unlike wet rendering, dry rendering preserves twice as many nutrients, extends shelf life, and creates significantly less waste. My expert process ensures that every bit of tallow is used, aligning with my mission to craft sustainable, nourishing skincare that truly works—and smells amazing.
Thank you for being here. I can’t wait to share a piece of our farm with you.
